Get back control of your life, one page at a time
A happy and productive life takes time, which is why we’ve spent eons designing notebooks to improve productivity. Over at Panda Planner, they’ve spent many long nights in the jungle working out how to foster happiness. We decided that choosing between your productivity and your happiness isn’t a choice anyone should have to make. So, we built the Rocketbook Panda Planner to help you build happiness and productivity.
Use these tips to squeeze the most happiness and productivity out of your Rocketbook Panda Planner you can. We’ll cover each section of your planner:
1. Goals
2. Monthly
3. Weekly
4. Daily
1. Get It Out Of Your Head
The Goals section of the Rocketbook Panda Planner is meant to help get all the thoughts about work, friends, school, projects, chores, and relationships out of your head and onto some paper to reduce stress and start the planning process.
Productivity
Being productive isn’t about getting more done, it’s about being less distracted so you can focus on something like the Back To The Future movie, which was rejected 44 times before being made….whoops, sorry we got distracted. Use the Anything & Everything page as a brain dump to free yourself of mental clutter, rid your mind of distraction, and refine loose thoughts into goals, then a roadmap, and eventually a full-fledged plan. The goals pages are a process, and skipping any steps can put your future productive self at risk.
Happiness
Anyone can set any old goal and check it off, but goals should bring you satisfaction. For example, set a goal to read the next sentence: “this is an easy sentence to read”. See, how does that feel? Not too special. Putting your motivation in writing ensures the goals you’re setting are SMART and improves the likeliness that hitting these objectives will bring you fulfillment and happiness.
Reusability Tip: Goals change. What you hope to achieve now may be different than what you want to achieve in a month. Feel free to go back and alter goals that no longer align with your values. Or, completely erase and redo your goal pages section for a full refresh.
2. See The Big Picture
The Monthly section of the Rocketbook Panda Planner is meant to give a zoomed-out look at the future to help guide the specificity of the weekly and daily pages.
Productivity
It can be overwhelming to commit to a goal for 6 months, and it can be too easy to commit for a few days. The monthly pages strike the perfect balance for organizing the next 30 days of your life and setting a daily habit to keep up. Tracking habits on the same page as your monthly calendar guarantees you’ll check-in and monitor your progress regularly, which is a major factor for keeping up a new habit and improving your productivity, day by day.
Happiness
It’s impossible to keep thirty days worth of events in your head. Or, at least, it’s really hard. Even worse is missing appointments or showing up late because you tried to keep thirty days worth of events in your head. Alleviate the stress of planning by putting the burden of memory on your Rocketbook Panda Planner (don’t worry, it can handle it). Write down your entire calendar and check it regularly.
Reusability Tip: Been slacking on your planning? Not a worry. Since the pages don’t have pre-filled in dates, there’s no guilt about wasting a monthly page. Use the erasability to your advantage by filling in whatever month you’re jumping in on and go from there.
3. Pat Yourself On The Back
The Weekly section of the Rocketbook Panda Planner is meant to give you a chance to look back on your successes with pride, and get excited about the improvements in your productivity and happiness that are coming soon!
Productivity
Using past failures as opportunities for future success is a great way to generate productivity. Learn from the difficulties of the previous week to improve your productivity in the week to come. Studies have shown that simply writing down plans to improve your personal and workweek increases the chance it’ll happen. You can also try using the bottom section of the weekly page to meal plan for some next-level organization.
Happiness
Setting goals is only a third of the battle. Achieving those goals is another third. And the final third (and often the most fun) is patting yourself on the back for hitting a goal. That’s why the weekly templates encourage you to recount the big wins of the previous week. Additionally, for anything still in progress but not quite done, you can use the 1–10 progress bar for a mental boost. It’s like when you’re baking cookies and sneakily eat some cookie dough — the cookies aren’t done yet, but they’re still delicious.
Reusability Tip: Plans change during the week. Events get shifted around. Life is unpredictable. Instead of abhorrent cross-outs, use the erasability to cleanly update your weekly plans on the fly. Congrats, you’re officially a master organizational improviser.
4. Practice What You Preach
The Daily section of the Rocketbook Panda Planner is meant to be your hub of productivity planning and harnessing happiness. Each day is organized to bring you gratitude, mindfulness, and focus.
Productivity
You’ve got 24 hours. Ready, set, go! List your priorities for the day, map out your schedule, and set a daily focus. Try your best to stick to the plan, but leave open spaces to take on any unpredicted obstacles of the day.
Happiness
You’ve got 24 hours. Take it slow, enjoy each moment. The best way to use the daily pages is by following easy steps to a more positive mindset. Add meditation, gratitude, and exercise to your morning routine, then reap the benefits all day long. Finish off the day with some positive reflection and a look forward to the day ahead.
Reusability Tip: There’s 365 days in a year, but only 36 pages in the Rocketbook Panda Planner. Erase the pages to keep planning and fostering happiness for days, months, and years to come.
The Real Secret to Productivity
Now you know the best ways to use the Rocketbook Panda Planner to build productivity and happiness. The big secret, though, is that living happier often leads to living more productively. When you’re feeling motivated, excited for each day, and beaming with confidence, you’re more likely to work harder, be more efficient, and see improved results. So the real, secret best way to use the Rocketbook Panda Planner is to focus on your happiness and let the productivity follow suit (even though this is a secret, feel free to tell anyone you’d like, we won’t mind).

I am enjoying my new Rocketbook Panda. A neat feature to add to your app, is the ability to take a picture of the monthly pages and have new events that are written added to your Google Calendar.
I love this idea and can’t wait to die this to my friends!! Would there be a way to offer the pages only to add to the Rocketbook I already have?
